With herbalism, if you can get the herb to the tissue you are trying to treat, the chances of the herb working quickly and effectively are so much better. And this herbal honey does just that.

Wonderful for sore throats, cough, hoarseness and post nasal drip. This little sweet and spicy number is sure to bring some magic to your tea and soothing to the throat. Plant goodness at its finest. ✨

Herbs in the Infusion:

  • Among other disease-fighting goodness, raw garlic is full of antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antiviral properties.

  • Ginger is anti-inflammatory, and helps inhibit the growth of bacteria, thus reducing the risk of infection.

  • Lavender is soothing and calming to a tired throat, also great for when you are hoarse.

  • Thyme boosts your immune system and has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and pain-relieving properties.

  • Raw honey is also antibacterial, anti fungal, wound-healing, sore-throat relieving.

Recipe:

  • 1-2 glass jars with lids

  • 2-3 cloves raw garlic

  • Fresh or dried thyme (small sprig or 1 Tsp dried)

  • Fresh or dried ginger (1/2 inch piece or about 1 tsp dried)

  • Fresh or dried lavender (small sprig or about 1 tsp dried)

  • Raw, local honey (enough to cover and fill your jar)

Mash garlic and slice ginger and add all ingredients to bottom of jar. Pour over honey and close lid. Let infuse for 2 weeks before using, can store in fridge to last longer.
